This gallery features photos of unique Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao sites.

Aruba

One of the ABC islands in the Leeward Antilles, Aruba is an independent country within the Kingdom of the Netherlands. It is best known for its magnificent white sand beaches, colorful Dutch colonial architecture of vibrant Oranjestad, and picture-perfect weather. An excellent example of Dutch colonial architecture is the Royal Plaza shopping area which is near the cruise piers.

On the northwestern shores of Aruba stands a century-old lighthouse known as the California Lighthouse, built in 1916 and automated in 1970. One can obtain an excellent view of the water sports such as kite surfing and sailing from the lighthouse.

Alto Vista Chapel is not far from the lighthouse. Built on the site of the first church in Aruba, the "Pilgrim's Church" is a destination for many of Aruba's Catholics, who make pilgrimages to the church's Peace Labyrinth.

Curacao

Celebrate Curaçao's vibrant art scene on a journey through the bustling streets of Willemstad, where incredible murals, historic landmarks, and local cuisine weave together a rich cultural tapestry. This gallery features some of these colorful murals.

The Mikvé Israel-Emanuel Synagogue which dates back to 1732 and is the oldest continually-used synagogue in the Americas. This gallery features images of the bima and sandcovered floors that are rarely seen in modern synagogues.

Bonaire

Like Aruba, Bonaire features Dutch colonial architecture. Some are not far from the cruise port as is Fort Oranje built in 1639 located in Kralendijk, Bonaire. It is the oldest masonry structure on the island of Bonaire.

Sebastian’s Beach is located on Sorobon Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean. Sorobon Beach on the east side of the island, one of the top 10 famous beaches for windsurfing worldwide. This gallery features colorful windsurfing sails.

Also featured in this gallery are the Salt flats, home to a protected flamingo sanctuary, and the slave huts revealing the history of Bonaire's saltpan workers in the 1850's.
